I was having knee pain and went to a different Ortho surgeon in Geneva. He did a knee scope and I still had pain. After several months of no improvement, I saw Dr. Alexander. I told him the situation, he had me walk across the exam room and said "It's not your knee, it's your hip. An x-ray confirmed my hip was in bad shape. An MRI showed how bad. Due to my age at the time, 49yrs, we decided to wait as long as possible before surgery. During the waiting time, I had other pain in my back that Dr. Alexander felt had nothing to do with my hip. A back MRI showed a tumor in my spine which another specialist operated on. Dr. Alexander did my hip replacement and 9 yrs later I still have no problems with it. That other Dr. never would have figured any of this out. Dr. Alexander is my hero when it comes to any Ortho problems.
Have been pts of both Stasko brothers. They are professional, excellent Dr's and provide the best of care. And they are NICE and Caring ! The office staff, I've found, has a history of lack of courtesy, tact, and is often borderline rude. 'How difficult is it to face the pt when asking medical history questions in the exam room ? And after clearing the guard at the door, being told(in a rude, brusk manner) that a spouse CAN NOT be in an EMPTY waiting room,, some twenty feet from the desk, is less than polite..
As a collegiate athlete, youth sports coach and now a contractor, I have, unfortunately, had my share of orthopedic surgeries. Most recently Dr. Brown scoped my knee, and will be operating on my shoulder in the near future. I previously had surgery scheduled on the shoulder and cancelled because I felt uneasy with the surgeon. This will be my 2nd surgery on this shoulder so I wanted to make sure whoever does it gives me the best chance of recovery. Dr. Brown is the most competent, qualified, professional and reassuring surgeon I have met. My knee surgery with him went as smooth as it possibly could have. His office runs smoothly and professionally, I won't go to any other ortho as long as he's working in this area.
The doctors at FLB&J have treated me for 4 sports/athletic related injuries, and a shoulder reconstruction. They have always been approachable, and willing to answer any questions that I have. Dr. Brown is a skilled Dr. and will likely treat me again i the future.
They have a great team of doctors who knows how to treat sports/joint injuries. I think they are one of the best places to go in the area. I recommended them to my family and friends.
The staff is professional and knowledgeable. I had a brief wait. They helped me with what I thought was Sciatica. I am now pain-free.
Professional and courteous staff. Would recommend to friends and family.
Got right in for emergency visit. In and out 30 40min exray done as well. Broken foot
Thank you again for providing consistent treatment over the past 3 years. My injuries will always have the scar tissue, but at least the unbearable and relentless pain has subsided.
Dr. Alexander has exceeded our expectations with his professional and prompt analysis on our son’s chronic knee pain. The treatment that is currently being provided has been especially helpful. There has been noticeable results already. His condition has drastically improved in just 3 weeks! Thank you Dr.!
If you're experiencing chronic joint pain, then this is the medical facility you want to be treated at. Why? Simply because the doctors care about you as a patient. They treat you like a patient and not a burden. I tore my ACL last year playing college football. They've done tremendous work and I have hope of returning to my top form.
Life without pain in my knees was something I never thought would happen, but now I’m starting to see that with Dr. Brown’s help, that can be a possibility.
I live in a sports oriented family. My older brothers have played extensively since childhood, in school, college, and as adults. My oldest son also plays sports. My son was recently injured playing football, and while he's a tough guy and doesn't like to admit when he's in pain, I observed how his discomfort grew more and more intolerable.
Eventually, his joint pain became excruciating and as a mother, I could no longer ignore it. So our next course of action was to have him get x-rays at a doctor's office. We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Alexander. Our first impression of Dr. Alexander was that he was passionate about what he does and very knowledgeable.
After running x-rays, he deduced the root of the injuries and immediately started planning a treatment regimen. Let's fast forward 3 months later. My son feels 110% better than when he first walked in. I've recommended my older brothers to Dr. Alexander as well!
I highly recommend Dr. Alexander if you need knee replacement surgery. My surgery went well and I am recovering quickly.
I have visited three times with the kids. I was impressed that we got into a room within five minutes, x-rayed immediately and saw a doctor soon after that. When the bones were broken, my kid was in a cast within 15 minutes and we were in and out in a total of 30 mins. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I’d highly recommend going here if you feel you might have a broken bone.
Dr. Peter Stasko has treated my daughter's foot injury and performed surgery and he is an amazing and caring doctor. He spends time answering all questions and truly wants what is best for his patients. My husband is now going to see him, we trust him totally. He is fantastic.
I would like to thank everyone involved in my operation at Newark Hospital. From Dr. Brown, the lady at the check in desk, the nurses in prep op, the nurses/ doctors in the operating room, and to the nurses/ staff in the recovery room. They made my experience uplifting , friendly, and a God Blessing. They even made it easy on my wife. I can't say enough about them. Thank you so much and God Bless you all.
