Mike Huson: Now that you’ve had surgery, here’s an exercise to increase your range of motion post-surgery. Take a broomstick or a cane, whatever you have available at home, place your hands close together on it, lift the broomstick up over your head, using the non-surgical arm to guide the surgical arm, till you get to the point where you feel a stretch, hold the position for a few seconds then return it back to the start position. Repeat this exercise ten times and complete three sets. Again, this exercise is important to increase the range of motion of your shoulder post-surgery.
